  How does the new FICHT RAM injection feature in the Evinrude outboards make a difference in its performance?

  Since 1995 with the introduction of DFI (Direct fuel injection) systems Evinrude has been perfecting its DFI technology to compete with the present market for reliability and performance of marine outboard engines.

  The Ficht Ram injection DFI system utilizes a solenoid-driven fuel injector pump that’s controlled by a microprocessor to inject atomized fuel directly into the combustion chamber. Fuel is injected at rates of more than 100 cycles per second, which provides optimum combustion and performance .
