The concept of the Deutz engine family tradition has also been retained for the 620 series. It comprises 8, 12, and 16 cylinder V-engines of heavy duty design with a broad power spectrum from 829 to 2240 kW for the diesel version and from 550 to 1400 kW for gas engines. All engines are turbocharged and charge air cooled. With the state of the art technology the 620 engines are ideal prime movers for all marine applications, stationary generating sets, locomotives as well as special-purpose vehicles.
The 620 engine family offers you an alternative that takes into account all relevant factors: a maximum parts commonality is guaranteed by the optimized engine series concept offering distinct logistic advantages. Installation dimensions have been reduced. Only the alternator is driven by the V-belt. Cooling water pumps, and possible optional power take-offs are maintenance-free and gear driven. These engines are designed with the use of state of the art technology as environment friendly and economical engines.
