THE DEUTZ 616

The TBD 616 of this series is the smallest in the medium and big engine range from Deutz. Output of diesel version extends from 320 to 1360 kW and that of gas version from 280 to 700 kW.
The series comprises 8, 12 and 16 cylinder V-engines. With the developed technology they cover a broad range of application, from marine to railway vehicles, from large construction equipment to energy supply applications. The TBD 616 represents the successful synthesis of low-weight, heavy-duty and high power engine attributes. It offers excellent prospects for the future in terms of technology, economy and environmental compatibility.
Although there isn't a great market for these engines in the Maldives , dTECh aspires to market these in the near future for better performance and reliability.

Marine Engine 320-1360 kW (435-1850 HP) at 1500 - 2300 min -1

This engine uses single-circuit mixed cooling as indirect cooling with mounted-plate-type heat exchanger, coolant circulating pump, expansion tank, thermostats and raw water pump.

The high-pressure injection by gear driven in-line pump, mechanical or electronic governor, centrally arranged 8-hole injection nozzle. It uses 28V/55A alternator, one or two depending on customer's request.
